About

As you may be aware the Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) is deemed as the apex arbitral institution in the Country created to promote and administer arbitration in commercial disputes, with a view to encourage smooth and seamless domestic and international business. It also organizes programmes and conferences to promote India as the hub of International Arbitration.

The opening up of the Indian Legal Market is an important milestone for the legal and business fraternity in both India and the United Kingdom, as the latter is an important seat for dispute resolution. It is therefore crucial that both countries are prepared for this transition and have the necessary legal frameworks in place. For such initiative, an effective high-level delegation from India is needed to voice this message in London.

In this regard, ICA with the support of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) the apex chambers of Commerce & Industry of India  is organizing a conference on June 5, 2023, on the topic “Arbitrating Indo-UK Commercial Disputes – 2nd Edition” at the Savoy Hotel, London. The Conference will have prominent speakers and participation, both from India and the UK.

Justice Ms. Hima Kohli, Judge Supreme Court of India has consented to deliver the Special Address at the Conference & Lord Justice Rabinder Singh, The Rt. Hon. Lord Justice, Court of Appeal of England & Wales has also been invited to deliver a Special Address at the Conference.
